What We Offer

Three Services. Clear Scope. Written Deliverables.

Each engagement is structured around a defined objective, a fixed fee, and a written output your team can keep and reference. No retainers, no ambiguity about what's included.

Service 01

Cash Flow & Working Capital Review

A practical, numbers-focused engagement for SME owners concerned about managing day-to-day liquidity. Our consultants work through the data your business already holds and translate it into a coherent picture of where cash is moving, where it stalls, and what can be adjusted without disrupting operations.

This service speaks to business owners who want clear, grounded advice presented without unnecessary complexity โ€” and a written output they can act on and revisit.

Fixed Fee

RM 580

Duration

2 Weeks

Suitable For

SMEs with 5โ€“100 employees
Cash flow review

Who This Fits

  • Businesses experiencing late payments from customers that strain monthly operations
  • Owners who are profitable on paper but regularly short on cash
  • Companies preparing to apply for trade financing or an overdraft facility
  • Businesses that have grown and want to revisit how working capital is managed

What We Analyse

  • 1
Receivables cycle โ€” how long it takes to collect on invoices, where delays occur, and what's within your control to change
  • 2
Payables management โ€” supplier payment terms, early payment discounts, and whether your outflows are sequenced sensibly
  • 3
Inventory turnover โ€” cash tied up in stock relative to sales velocity, and whether inventory levels reflect actual demand patterns
  • 4
Banking facility utilisation โ€” how current facilities are being used and whether available instruments are well-matched to your cash cycle

What You Receive

  • Cash Flow Health Report โ€” a written document mapping your current position across the four areas above, with supporting data and observations
  • 90-Day Action Plan โ€” specific, sequenced steps your team can implement, with notes on expected impact and priority order
  • Longer-term structural suggestions โ€” observations on issues that require more time to address, flagged with context so you can plan appropriately
  • Closing walkthrough session โ€” a conversation with your consultant to go through findings and answer questions before the engagement closes

How the Engagement Runs

1

Days 1โ€“2

Onboarding & Data Collection

We share a structured data request covering the last 12 months of relevant financial records. You provide what's available; we work with it.

2

Days 3โ€“7

Analysis

Your consultant works through the data, building a clear picture of your receivables, payables, stock, and facility patterns. A clarifying call may be scheduled if needed.

3

Days 8โ€“12

Report Drafting

The Cash Flow Health Report and 90-Day Action Plan are written and reviewed internally before delivery. Findings are presented in plain language.

4

Days 13โ€“14

Delivery & Walkthrough

The completed report is delivered, followed by a walkthrough session with your consultant. A short window for follow-up questions is included.

Business model refinement workshop

Who This Fits

  • Leadership teams questioning whether the current model still reflects the market opportunity
  • Companies that have grown organically and want to be more deliberate about where they focus next
  • Businesses exploring adjacent markets, pricing changes, or new revenue streams
  • Founders and co-founders who want a structured space to align on strategic direction

Service 02

Business Model Refinement Workshop

A collaborative three-day workshop for companies looking to re-examine how they create, deliver, and capture value. Using structured canvas exercises and current market data, participants work through the core dimensions of the business model together โ€” with a facilitator who challenges assumptions and surfaces tensions that are easy to overlook in day-to-day work.

The process is designed for leadership teams open to thoughtful recalibration. It's not a brainstorming session โ€” it's a structured examination of whether the business is oriented correctly for where the market is heading.

Fixed Fee

RM 1,900

Duration

3 Days

Participants

2โ€“8 leadership team members

Workshop Content

  • 1
Customer segmentation โ€” identifying which customer groups you actually serve well today and where the model makes assumptions worth questioning
  • 2
Value proposition articulation โ€” working out what you are genuinely offering versus what you think you are offering, and whether it resonates with the right customers
  • 3
Revenue model alternatives โ€” examining whether current pricing and billing structures are well-matched to customer expectations and business sustainability
  • 4
Cost structure optimisation โ€” reviewing the balance between fixed and variable costs, and whether the structure supports or limits strategic flexibility

What You Receive

  • Pre-session stakeholder interviews โ€” structured conversations with key participants before Day 1, so the workshop starts with context rather than building it from scratch
  • Custom workbook โ€” a prepared facilitation workbook tailored to your business and sector, used across the three days
  • Written synthesis document โ€” a post-workshop document capturing the key outputs, decisions, and open questions from the three sessions
  • Market data context โ€” relevant sector and market data woven into the facilitation, so discussions are grounded in what's happening externally

How the Engagement Runs

1

Pre-work

Stakeholder Interviews

Brief structured conversations with each leadership participant to gather perspectives and surface tensions before the workshop begins.

2

Day 1

Current State Review

Canvas mapping of the existing business model, customer segments, and current value proposition โ€” establishing a shared baseline.

3

Day 2

Challenge & Exploration

Structured exercises on revenue models, pricing, and cost structure โ€” with market data brought in to pressure-test assumptions.

4

Day 3

Decisions & Priorities

Consolidation of the previous two days into agreed directions, with open questions documented and prioritised before the session closes.

5

Post-work

Written Synthesis

The full synthesis document is delivered within five working days of the final session, along with the completed workbook.

Service 03

Regulatory Readiness & Licensing Support

Comprehensive advisory for businesses navigating Malaysian regulatory requirements, sector-specific licensing, and compliance obligations. This is a structured six-week engagement designed to move a business from uncertainty about its regulatory position to a clear, documented understanding of what's required and a plan for meeting it.

Particularly suited to foreign-owned companies establishing Malaysian operations, and to local firms entering sectors that have come under new or expanded regulatory oversight.

  • Businesses that have received compliance queries from a regulator and need to respond clearly

  • 3
Liaison preparation โ€” preparing your team for interactions with relevant agencies, including questions to anticipate and how to present your business clearly
  • 4
Compliance calendar development โ€” a forward-looking schedule of ongoing obligations, renewal dates, and reporting requirements once licensing is in place

What You Receive

  • Regulatory landscape briefing โ€” a written document mapping the regulatory framework relevant to your business, with commentary on the practical implications
  • Document review and drafting assistance โ€” structured review of your existing materials and hands-on assistance drafting or redrafting where required

Questions

Common Questions About Our Services

Can I engage more than one service at the same time?

It's possible, though we generally recommend completing one engagement before beginning another if the subject areas are related โ€” the outputs of a cash flow review, for example, may inform how a business model workshop is approached. We're happy to discuss sequencing during an initial call.

What financial information do I need to share for the Cash Flow Review?

We share a structured data request when the engagement begins. Typically this covers 12 months of accounts receivable ageing, accounts payable records, monthly bank statements, and an inventory summary. If some of these aren't available in a structured format, we work with what you have and note any limitations in the report.

Does the Business Model Workshop need to happen in person?

We strongly prefer in-person facilitation for all three days. The quality of workshop outputs tends to be meaningfully better when participants are in the same room and can interact directly with the canvas materials. We are based in Kuala Lumpur and can travel within Peninsular Malaysia; travel costs outside the Klang Valley are discussed separately.

Does the Regulatory Readiness service cover legal representation?

No. Padu Works provides regulatory advisory and documentation support โ€” not legal representation. Where formal legal advice or representation is required (for example, before a tribunal or in contested licensing matters), we will flag this clearly and recommend that you engage a qualified Malaysian lawyer. The two types of support are complementary, and our work is designed to reduce the time your legal team needs to spend on context-building.

What happens if the scope of an engagement needs to change mid-way?

Scope changes are discussed openly if they arise. Each engagement begins with a written scope statement so both parties understand what's included. If new material emerges that falls outside the original scope, we let you know and discuss how to handle it โ€” whether that means adjusting the scope, noting it for a separate engagement, or addressing it within the original fee if it's minor. There are no surprise charges.

How do I know which service is right for my situation?

A short initial conversation is the best way to work this out. We'll ask a few questions about your situation and give you an honest assessment of which service addresses it most directly โ€” or whether any of our services are a good fit at this point. You're welcome to reach out via the contact form or by phone, and there's no pressure to commit to anything during that conversation.

Not Sure Which Service Fits?

A short conversation is usually enough to work it out. We'll listen to your situation and give you an honest view of which engagement, if any, addresses it most directly.
